This installment is extremely action-packed. Faith and Angel, along with Willow and Connor, head to Quor'toth to try and figure out a way to return magic to Earth. I really enjoyed seeing the hell dimension where Connor grew up, as well as having Angel back in LA and seeing a Gunn cameo. The action was good (and a big gruesome), and I enjoyed the character development, even if it was a bit sunshine and roses. My biggest complaint was that the big fight wrapped up easily at the end. Also, there's the return of another character who is much more of a scary creep than he was before, so that's a good surprise. Now I'm just annoyed that I read it in one day and I have to wait until December for the next installment.

4.5-4.75. Loved seeing Connor again, particularly because he was no longer whiny. Some of the best moments of the Angel & Faith miniseries so far!

It's nice seeing Connor in a way that doesn't make me roll my eyes out of my head! Also, having Giles's aunts in the picture is a bit like Angel and Faith living with the women from Absolutely Fabulous, and I heartily approve of that.

Spoiler I like the idea of Whistler as the big "bad" behind-it-all, and the human vs. demon's visions of how evolution should work.

First we had Drusilla in the last installment and now Connor and Gunn? Yay! I hate to admit it, but I am enjoying Angel & Faith far more than any of the Buffy graphic novels.

Oh, of course Willow knows Giles’s preternaturally young great aunts. Oh, of course. Connor would be one of the keys to restoring magic to the world. Oh, of course there’s a reason that Quor’toth is a hell dimension and raising a human/vampire child there would have unforeseen consequences.

I liked this a lot. I ESPECIALLY liked when Faith launches Angel into the air like Colossus launches Wolverine. Nice metatexualism.

Not as good as the previous volume but it was fun to see some familiar faces. I'm not sure if the story is right now that interesting, the bad guys aren't that memorable.

Much better than most of the Buffy graphic novels that I have read. I am genuinely interested to see where this is going. The characters read / sound like they do on the small screen. Quite happy with this one.

Kind of funny when a spin-off surpasses the quality of the original Buffy comics, right? Anyway, Faith AND my beautiful (dark) Willow teaming up? Hell yeah!

Love love love this.

Was so great to see familiar faces and to see how much they’ve grown. I can’t express it enough! I’m loving the Angel & faith series so much more than I thought I would. I love the banter, the depth, the plot, everything. It’s perfect.

I really love the Buffyverse and everything Joss Whedon touches, but wow did I hateread this. I feel like this sidetrack for Season 9 is becoming more and more inessential by the moment, and the absolutely unnecessary diversion in the final two chapters really bugged me.

I have little nice to say about this on a whole, and I don't really have high hopes moving forward, unfortunately.
