This one was every bit as good as The Kite Runner.

A beautiful and heartbreaking story. A little hard to get through because of the language barrier./translations, but I think it helped that I listened to it as an audiobook. The narrator had a middle eastern accent and explained the terminology. It was a detailed insight into the extreme realities of the lives of some if not many afghani women living in worn torn areas.

What a wonderful read. Many sad moments, but ultimately a satisfying ending. Understand the pashto and farsi words without needing a translation is so rewarding. Definitely a compelling and fulfilling read for us brown muslims!
