Muir as always keeps you on your feet not knowing what to expect and then blows your mind halfway through and you have to pick up the pieces. Can’t wait for [REDACTED]!
Graphic: Body horror, Death, Gore, Gun violence, Grief, Colonisation, and War
Moderate: Blood
Minor: Eating disorder and Trafficking
Unnamed side character assumes incorrectly that one main character is a trafficker. Character dislikes to eat, describes her dislike of food; not an eating disorder but may be triggeringhannahpings's review against another edition

This one was definitely less confusing than Harrow the Ninth and easier to follow.
The ending had me sobbing I literally cannot wait for Alecto the First

- I don't know how Tamsyn Muir manages to make you love so many characters at once (I didn't think I'd ever love anyone as much as Gideon, but this book had so many people to love).
- I don't have any idea who Nona is but I love her.
- I can't wait to see what happens next because I know it's going to be epic.
