Really good short story. Very gruesome when talking about torture. I wanted it to be longer though

Overall I liked where the story was going… and I know it’s a short story, but the ending didn’t make sense. too open ended to what happens after the
Spoiler stabbing.

honestly it was just meh. if the story was a full novel I think I would have loved it. Too rushed but a quick read while doing laundry
Also have no idea it’s a “follow up” of The Perfect Child” … that might have changed my opinions on this story. Might read the first now and see how it goes. and if there’s another story after this one maybe i’ll pick up..

This book keeps tension the entire time and has well fleshed out characters even with all their flaws. Really enjoyed this book.
