I enjoyed the book, but it was WAY too long! I feel like he over-explained things. It was informative and interesting for certain parts, but others were just needless.

The author did a decent job of reading the book, nothing spectacular but not terrible either.
Graphic: Drug use
Moderate: Addiction, Alcoholism, Cancer, Death, Mental illness, Terminal illness, Medical content, and Colonisation

A fascinating history and compelling personal account of guided psychedelic therapy.
Pollan makes a strong case for the increasingly medically-recognized therapeutic benefits of these molecules while embracing power they reveal in one’s mind, a phenomenon that barely tolerates words. His modest effort to do so yields a personal, informative, and convincing story for people who are skeptical, curious, or even feeling in need of such an experience to better their lives.

All topics are presented in a strictly journalistic, factual context, to provide details about the experiences that medical patients willingly shared on record.
