Returning home to take over the running of her late great-aunt's toy store, Maya stumbles upon a secret that has been kept from her and sets out to make things right all with the help of a young veterinarian, a little girl and a calico cat.

I devoured this in one day and it was just the sort of delightful, easy read that I have been looking for lately. The romance was not too "eye rolly", the little beachside town of Coral Cove was lovely, the unfolding of the secret interested me enough to keep me reading and some unexpected twists kept me page-turning until the end!

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Netgalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

I have read a few other books by Amy Clipston in the past, and have enjoyed her writing... when I read the description of this one, it sounded like just the kind of sweet, small town romances that I tend to enjoy so I was excited to read it and had high hopes. While it was certainly an enjoyable read, I did find it fell a little short of my expectations and certainly not one of my favorites from the author. I didn't not like, I just felt like I could have enjoyed it more.

From the beginning, it started off strong for me. I enjoyed Maya, Brody and Ashlyn and watching them get to know each other. There were a few times where I felt like maybe I had missed something, but I believe that was more my own distraction with things going on in real life than the story itself. Really, I actually enjoyed the story very much throughout most of it... however, when Maya's ex returned I felt like it just didn't quite connect as well It still definitely had that sweet Hallmark type of romance that I like, so I enjoyed it overall. I would give it a solid 3.5 stars, but it had the potential to be higher. If you enjoy a good romance like that too, I would certainly still recommend it.

**I received a complimentary copy for consideration. All thoughts are my own.

This was my first time reading a Contemporary Romance novel from Amy Clipston. I’m hooked after reading this book. After inheriting her Aunt’s Toy store, Maya relocated to the small town she grew up in to start fresh. While getting things organized she meets Brody and his daughter Ashlyn. They began spending a lot of time together while developing feelings. Amy takes you on a whirlwind of emotions with these two characters. Both are struggling with moving on and letting each other in. If you enjoy romance novels, you will love The View from Coral Cove.

A sweet story that I definitely enjoyed. I liked Maya a lot as a character and her family mystery added a fun layer to the story. It's a quick easy romantic read guaranteed to put a smile on your face.
