4 stars.

I'm writing this several days later but this volume is just so sad. Yukine has been breaking my heart for several volumes now and this one wasn't an exception. Its so hard seeing him be manipulated by the Creator and just completely spiral. He is hurting so much and Yato can see it and see that he isn't thinking clearly. The trauma that Yukine has regarding his dad is just devastating and for the Creator to take advantage of that and making it seem like his sister didnt care about him.... hatred. I love Yato for not hurting Yukine because he understands that Yukine is seeing his father, not Yato. I want Yukine to get away from the Creator so badly and I'm not sure what it will take for him to get to that point.

I love seeing the other gods try and figure out information about the Creator to learn how to defeat him while not destroying Yato. I'm really curious to learn more of his backstory and how he is the way he is.

I think it was sweet that the Stray and Hiyori were teamed up together to look for Yukine's sister. I can't hate the sister because she was also a child and they shouldnt have been in such a household to begin with. I know that she would have never wanted anything to have happened to Yukine and has never forgetten or forgiven herself. I'm not looking forward to her learning that Yukine is dead and how he died. I wonder actually if they will see each other in person. I also am not sure if their dad's alive, but I'm scared for Yukine to see him again. I think he is still so trsumatized, I'm nit sure how he will respond when they are face to face. And seeing that way that Yukine is morphing is.... a lot. I wonder how limitless he will be. Oh, and I want to see how he will interact with Hiyori if they meet up. Will he antagonize her or come back to himself?

Bishamon wakes up this volume... I'm terrified of her reaction to Kazuma being a stray, let alone Yato's stray....

Noragami vol. 23 takes a deep dive into the desperation of Yuki and leaves the reader wanting more with a cliffhanger of an ending. The pace is mixed, fast in some chapters, slower in others. The twists are plenty, but the atmosphere is dark and depressing. Still, a top notch work by a top notch artist.

¡Wuola!
