There's a mystical quality to this "journey" poem. I liked the voice, the call to action, and the flow of the poem through different landscapes and creatures. The translator's notes at the beginning of the book greatly enhanced my reading experience, as she notes the Sufi and shamanistic influences in the text.
Temelkuran writes widely - poetry, prose, and essays/journalism - I plan to read more of her work.
