There are some doctrinal things that I don't agree with (i.e., he states at one point that all people are God's children when the Bible clearly states that those who are reborn are His children). There are also some chapters where I don't know what point he is trying to make. The last half of the book hits super hard. It made me cry. Also the part about Adrian was super heartwarming and inspiring.
Moderate: Child abuse

Well, while there are some things about the book that I just can't wrap my head around, like his apparent wealth, the basic premise is worth five stars. It is simple, but not easy: Love everybody, always, just like Jesus. His writing style is light and easy, if a tad repetitive. His stories are memorable, eliciting both tears and laughter. And every now and again he wrote a sentence that punched me in the gut. But now I wish I'd written those sentences down, so I didn't have to read the whole book again to find them...

wowowowow. I’ll admit that Bob can be real cheesy at times, but there’s something so special about his work. you can feel his love and joy emanating from the pages — casually mixed in with some of the greatest truth bombs and nuggets of wisdom you’ll ever read.
”Here's the thing: loving people the way Jesus did either changes everything in us or it changes nothing. It can't just change a couple of things. But, it can change a couple of things at a time. If you want to become love, what will it change for you?”
“There is no love without justice, but there is no justice without love.”
