One of the slower books between both series. I love the friendships that develop in the first half of the book (Piper and Annabeth, Leo and Hazel, Percy and Jason eventually), but it suffers from excluding some points of view. It also slows down even more once we have these action scenes that are jump between too quick and too stretched out.
SpoilerAnnabeth and Arachne's scenes are so good, though!
Ultimately, the last fifty or so pages are the strongest.
