every time rex went 'i'm a good boy' i wanted to give him a hug! this was a super interesting sci-fi novel, i liked the different perspectives we got and the full circle of it.
i do think the main premise of the blurb, the war trials of his owner, could have been longer, we didn't spend much time there. i also think that it would have been cool to have the human bioform have more page time

Started extremely well. Lost me a little about 2/3rds through, but ended superbly.

Tchaikovsky has a way of showing how different futures can play out that make them feel so real they could be here now.

I was made to feel very uncomfortable - even the "good" technology was terrifying.
