The art style of this is absolutely stunning it's bubble writing but for people and the colour pallet is my dream all the soft colours!! Ah!!!! And okay this book did the COOLEST THING and yes often graphic novels like this will have a wee mini separate story playing out ever chapter or so as well BUT THEN THE PAGES WERE DRAWN TO LOOK LIKE THE MINI STORY WAS TORN APART BUT THE SAME WORDS WERE ON THE ACTUAL STORY AND IT WAS SO COOL SHWJCHWOWISO tears were shed indeed. I did have to rant to my gf. It was a beautiful GENIUS piece of story writing. The actual plot is really really good and draws u in with the perfect villian (I am questioning things about myself bc God damn that fox is sexy) and even touches on dysphoria. It was witches and centaurs and were wolves and vampires and evil magician foxes. My only fault is the miscommunication issue that's never really addressed properly imo and i absolutely detest miscommunication as a plot device dont be fecking lazy!!! but hey it's such a brilliant world and story i don't even care. Plus I'm vvv much in love with Grace Ellis stories between this and theĀ

This was an adorably drawn, fun graphic novel, but it didn't really "grab" me. I didn't feel super attached to the main character, and while I loved that the book was full of queer characters of all shapes, sizes, and varieties, at times it felt a bit performative (and maybe that's because some of the characters relied on stereotypes too much?). I did enjoy the mix of the magical and the mundane, and like I said, it was a fun read, but I didn't love it.

Very silly but charming which is about what one would expect of a story about newly dating werewolves helping a centaur friend find his magically stolen butt. Lots of extra stuff going on with the advice columns and excerpts from Pleasant Mountain Sisters too. Fun and gentle but slight.

Cute, love the inclusion of a non-binary character and a lesbian relationship.
