It was... okay? There are some cute parts and some quite spicy parts; but there wasn't alot of story or character development. That could change with more volumes, I'm not sure. There were also some parts that I didn't understand (what happened to her clothes that he had to replace them...? they got... wet? not sure.) Overall, it was fine.

If you're looking for a profound romance, this is not it. If you're looking for a kind and sweet Yakuza boss, then you've found the right book. Honestly the only thing I'm concerned about is that they keep referring to Oya as an "older man" and since Yuri's 20, older could refer to him being in his mid to late 20s or in his mid 30s

Honestly, this isn’t a favorite. It’s not that I won’t complete the series but I think that this wasn’t exactly what I expected and I wanted to like it more than what I did. She’s a little too naive for me as a heroine, but we’ll see where the rest of the series goes.

This was my first mafia romance manga and it was so much fun! I didn't like that it was instant love and the heroine was so naive but overall I had a good time while reading it

I received an eARC courtesy of VIZ Media via NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

Well, this is a lot was a lot of sexy time-which was not unexpected. But I did at times get the feeling that any attempts at constructing a narrative suffered as a result. Everything about this was fine. You do at least feel some interest towards the romance between Yuri and Oya, but it is also super abrupt. I find Yuri far more interesting when she is on her own-fending off would-be suitors with a suitcase and such. This book seems best described as a graphic novel version of 50 Shades of Grey for the new adult audience. All-in-all, this is is not my cup of cocoa and I hope that future volumes do a deeper dive into the story and some character development.

For Libraries: This is not a YA title.
