I think I’m too Gen X for this type of romance. I picked up on the social media references but the always fighting & cussing protagonist ...it got old real fast. And I guess my sense of humour is off the charts in another dimension because I didn’t find anything funny in this novella.

I appreciated the male protagonist standing up for her in front of the highfaluttin’ Black crowd, though. That was a nice touch. Even if he DOES drive a Dodge Charger.

Hopefully the other books will redeem this series.

I generally don’t like novellas. I usually feel like I’ve been deprived of important elements. Sooo not the case with this one. Omg these characters. This writing. The banter. Flawless.

Thin line between love and hate

Jaclyn and Kadan definitely met in a less than ideal situation, one Kadan wouldn't easily forget. Their contention changed to list filled desire and circumstances threw them together on more than 1 occasion so it was inevitable that they would come together. Glad they persevered despite the opposition.

This one had me cackling from page one. Jaclyn is unapologetically herself and could care less what people think about her. I loved that so much. Kadan was equally as funny and caring.

I really liked Jaclyn and Kadan together, so much so that I wanted this to be a full-length novel. The pacing at the beginning was so good, and then the ending felt rushed. But overall, I will continue with this series. I loved all the side characters as well!

Omg! This was such a great, funny quick romance read. I literally laughed out loud and was so invested in the story. I honestly wish it was longer so I could stay with the characters longer but nonetheless definitely a favorite & looking forward to reading more by Christina Jones!

Docked a star for the fart scene. Unforgivable.

I could not be more happy to FINALLY read a black romance book that actually had me cackling out loud. Jaclyn is SUCH a relatable character I really found myself talking to this book like I was watching a television show. This book really deserves the five stars I loved it so much and I'm beyond happy it's a series....I just downloaded the next two can't wait to read about the other Love sisters!

I loved the chemistry between the two main characters. The book felt like A chat with A good girlfriend. The main character is loveable and you want to see her win. A quick fun read
