Google translate is not a good resource.
Super toxic relationship. Lots of drug use.

Gianna grew on me over the course of 5 days when I was reading this book. I liked the contrast between her & Christian but I especially loved how she stood her ground against him. The banter, the chemistry and the slow burn romance was entertaining. However, there was still something missing and I couldn't connect with the both of them.

Unfortunately, I found myself pushing hard to finish this book mainly because some things didn't make sense. Maybe I anticipated too much, given the story's build-up. I did feel some similarities between this book & Twisted Love by Ana Huang but at least this book is giving.

This was my favourite bit:
What are you afraid of?”
“Everything,” I whispered, trailing my finger across the starched collar of his dress shirt.
“You’re not afraid of me.”
We were so close his cheek brushed my tear-streaked one when he rasped,
“And, baby, I’m worse than the dark.”
Maybe that was why I felt safe from it now.

I was hoping I'd like this one better as a reread but my rating stays the same. I grew tired of the miscommunication trope tbh.

Not as good as the first or third book in the series. This relationship spans years so definitely a slow burn.

Christian Allister! Imagine a man who is obsessed with you so much he goes to therapy. He was such a red flag. Luckily, Red is my favorite color.

I struggled with the prose, I'm not even sure I liked the writing but this plot gave and I was obsessed with Christian so 4 stars.
