This book was so fun, full of twists and turns and love! I think if you take it for what it is and remove any plausibility from the story, it makes for a great read - I read most
of it in one day and it fully made me laugh out loud at points!

love love loved this book! let's say that first of all, even though i am actually 100% chinese myself, most of the chinese-indo cultural aspects were still so familiar and recognizable, reading about it felt so comforting and put a smile on my face. the representation in this book definitely didn't lack a thing

it was such a hilarious, fast-paced, and overall just a lovely read. it has kept me up at night because i just couldn't put it down, there was always a new twist or turn happening! meddy's simultaneous frustration and gratitude towards her family were very relatable to me. the mother and aunties are just iconically bold (& boldly iconic), each in their own way. and nathan; oh my god, what a dream! seriously, what do i need to do to find a man like that?

the ending wrapped up insanely quickly though, the resolving of the problems kind of came out of nowhere, but i guess the point was just to avoid dragging it out too much? either way, a nice HEA

Summer Splash Readathon 2022: Touch Grass (Read a Book Entirely Outside).

This was the most chaotic book I've ever read, in a fun way. Meddelin really had an appropriate name because her whole family meddled in her and everyone else's life.

The premise was amazing and I really enjoyed it but the way the case was solved really was ridiculous. This was the most unprofessional sheriff, which I get, the characters have to remain alive and free for the next book.

It was a really fun read but it made no sense.

the plot is so bizarre and chaotic. a super fun read that can take your mind off reality honestly.
