Kara honey, I love you, and a lot of you reminds me of a lot of me, but audiobooks are real books, full stop. XD
I really enjoyed this and all the cat content!

Cats and Christmas? You don't need to tell me much more to get me to read a book.
Kara is struggling to get her cat rescue/clinic/cafe fully up and running. Thanks to an unexpected ad and contest in a magazine, Kara and Charity find a line outside the cafe one morning. While good for the bills, Kara worries that ghosts from her past will come back to haunt her with the sudden attention. At the same time, Ben enters his life, his colleague Schwartz the one responsible for the cat cafe's recent publicity. When a stray kitten brings him back to see Kara, the two slowly begin to realize they're drawn to one another despite their differences.
A Cat Cafe Christmas is sweet, funny, and charming. I laughed out loud multiple times which doesn't happen too often with books for me. And the cat illustrations and bios at the beginning of each chapter are so adorable. Kara's backstory added a good hint of emotion, as did Ben's, to an otherwise cozy story. Perfect for cat-lovers!

I was very looking forward to reading it and it did not disappoint!
The whole story was very cute and got me in the mood for Christmas. My highlight definitely were the cat illustrations and the description of each cat at the beginning of each chapter.
I also really enjoyed the characters. I liked the dynamic of Ben and Schwartz but also of Kara and Charity. I found the interactions with Ben and Kara very natural and I think they make a great match.
In some extent I could relate to Ben's family problems and I'm not sure I would have been able to make the decision he did.
Kara's story about her past was probably my least favourite part since it didn't feel natural to me and I also wasn't very invested in it. Overall a lovely and cute Christmas read I'm very happy I read!

I usually don’t read seasonal reads outside of the winter months, but I had to make an exception for this incredibly cute book—and I’m glad I did!
This is THE book for cat lovers, for the holidays and beyond. Each chapter starts off with a cartoon and description of a cat for adoption at the cat café, which has got to be the sweetest thing I’ve ever seen.
Most of the book revolves around cats and our interactions with them, from introducing kittens and cats to new environments, to finally meeting the purrfect match. But that’s not saying the romance takes a backseat, not at all. Kara and Ben have both gone through their own traumas, and at each step I was rooting for them to find ways to heal and be together.
Cody Gary is excellent at making the reader feel emotionally invested in the story, as I found myself getting madder and madder the more I heard about their stories and craved some restitution. That being said, I found the ending a bit meh, but overall I didn’t think it took away from my enjoyment of the story.
Overall, if you’re looking for a cozy, holiday read with characters you want to root for, and the tiniest dash of spice, add this to your Christmas wishlist asap!
Thanks so much to Netgalley and Forever, an imprint of Grand Central Publishing, for providing me with an ARC of this adorable Christmas story.
