I had never read this famous tale before now. Irving does a great job visualizing the characters and setting without droning on too long. The tale and mystery, while quick, doesn't feel rushed at all. The language, though very old, is still quite easy to understand and read. I haven't seen the movie in years so I didn't know the ending, and found it really interesting and spooky! My only reason for 4/5 is that I think if he had made this just a tad longer, the tale would have been more impactful.
Great classic!

Quick, descriptive, and entertaining. The ending felt rushed to me would have liked a little more.
