Gorgeous book! I would prefer that if this book is labeled "the original screenplay" then it would have included JK Rowling's original work--complete with everything that didn't make it to the movie. While this screenplay offered some insights worth reading (e.g., characters' facial expressions and feelings), it was the movie exactly, just written out, which I found disappointing.

I was a little worried going into this one because it's a screenplay, and the last book I tried to read in script format ([b:Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Parts 1 & 2|29069989|Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Parts 1 & 2 (Harry Potter, #8)|John Tiffany|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1470734340s/29069989.jpg|48765776]) was a complete disaster. But I loved this book!! Even putting aside from the beautiful artwork, the descriptions and the dialogue and the characters were just incredible. [a:J. K. Rowling|16825711|J. K. To all my fellow Potterheads, you need to read this. What are you waiting for?? Go read it!!

I read this book after already having seen the film. It was a wonderful experience to be able to imagine it all scene for scene again in my head.

Not quite sure how I feel about this. I love the idea of it and the movie is amazing, I just found that reading it didn't have the same impact on me as watching it (I don't think I've ever said that in my life). I know it isn't the script format either because I adored The Cursed Child, there just didn't seem to be as much dialogue in this so I got bored!

This one i would first suggest to see the movie first. The visuals are stunning.
The script is exactly the same as the film but I absolutely enjoyed reading it. It is just amazing to dive again into this world, too feel all those magical feelings again, to fall in love with its characters and more. The beast are both adorable and majestic.

Loved it, even in screen play format. It will go lovingly placed with my HP collection.
