I think the three of them could have had a better introduction as it was hard to see them as friends for a while and therefore when things were turbulent in. The dynamics I did not feel sad or really anything. I really enjoyed the mystery of this, and the scares, it was not who I ended up thinking it was and it left with a nice question. Super easy to read and I like the pictures. I liked the main character and Jordan. Abby was kind of annoying.

***CONTAINS SPOILERS***

I read this book last year. My boyfriend at the time swore up and down that his was his all-time favorite book (with that being said we had no idea it was a series). I enjoyed this read despite the small spoilers he started to give me, but that's not the book's fault.

I definitely would like to point out that the beginning of this book was a SLOW read. If it wasn't recommended to me by an important loved one, I may have dropped it. If anyone else experienced this, push through it. Don't fight yourself on it and just push through it. All the details will add up and make it worth it.

Whether it be the cute and quirky sub-plot romance, the pictures I believe are actually from a REAL asylum, or vivid and suspenseful scenery the author paints for it, you'll be at the edge of your seat.

After the first murder, I began to swallow the entire rest of the book. Body after body dropped. Secret after secret became revealed. I was amazed and curious to know who the killer was, but it being Felix sent me in a loop.

Felix was Dan's roommate. He trusted him. I even believed the facade Felix created to everyone around him. The author did a very well job at masking the killer's motives, personality, and actions.

Speaking as someone who grew up watching suspenseful and horror movies - and who isn't good at pushing through slow beginnings - I give this a book solid 4 stars (realistically 4.5 stars but GR doesn't allow it). And I'm excited to read the next book in the series: SANCTUM.

For a YA book, it was just okay. Easy to read and process. I often felt very frustrated with the main character and really will only read the other two because I'm curious to find out the ending.

Well I won't be sleeping for a while that's for sure .

The writing was very middle grade , the characters had no depth and the book was very instant friends , instant love and insta solved the mystery.

Very mediocre book but I have the bravery of a cucumber so I'm petrified. It felt more like a serial killer story than a Supernatural story.

no lo categorizaría como terror, pero sí como suspenso
