I didn’t really like the writing if I’m honest. The steam didn’t exist & they only really kiss at the end let alone bang and all the big drama bits were all over and fixed within a paragraph each time. It’s sad because the plot wasn’t bad, it just was… slow & not my kind of idea of romance. The cover hooked me, but I don’t think this author is my style. Also Frits is not a sexy name and I did not need crispins pov

Not my style of romance. Written mass market style.

I voluntary reviewed this ARC after receiving a free copy. The Most Eligible Lord In London, by Ella Quinn
I loved Frits and Adeline love story. For me it was original and well put together. The writer had a number characters introduced to the book, however this did not confuse me as who was who. The sense humor and witty banter was great. It was light and not to excessive.
The timing for the humor was placed accordingly in the right scenes. I find having an animal in a love story is a plus. I like how Maximus had a part in almost every scene of the book. The book had a fast pace. There was no slowness to the book, which was great!
It held my attention, leaving me wanting more. It was informative on facts, which was another plus. I will say this, I knew the mother’s were up to something. That’s all I will say. My fellow readers add this book to your TBR.

A slow burn. To summarize I will quote the book directly.

"It was as if the proverbial scales had fallen from his eyes. He'd known from the first she was different from any other lady he'd ever met. That was what had drawn him to her. Why then was he trying to attract her as he would any other lady? He'd never actually thought he'd been overindulged by female attention. In fact, he considered young ladies in irritation. But he must have got spoilt. He'd definitely become arrogant when it came to the female sex. He had to stop thinking about how to get her into his bed and instead find a path to convincing her she wanted to be in his life.
He also had to get rid of Anglesey."

Dull characters and not much happening at the start to keep me interested in the story. The authors writing style was nice enough to finish but I couldn’t be invested in characters that are all good

There is too much other plot happening in this book, so much that it completely takes away from the very sweet and chaste love story that is happening. We get the perspective of the two "villains" of the story in a way that doesn't add anything extra to the plot, and in fact add too much foreknowledge for the dramatic events that happen in the back half of the book. If it has stuck to only our two love interests (and maybe their mothers, who are delightful), I might have enjoyed it more.

Hab zwischendurch viel anderes gelesen, weil einfach nicht das richtige Gefühl für das Buch aufkam, aber jetzt habe ich fast 80% in einem Rutsch gelesen.

This book did not feel like the first in the series, and the start of the book felt like it was actually the middle of the story. There was also too much internal monologue.
