Solid thriller with an interesting twist; didn’t really enjoy the romance subplot in this one though.

I didn't feel like I really connected with some of the characters in here. Like, I may have missed it, but I never felt like I totally understood the motivation of the roommate. It is very creepy for a gal to die who looks just like you though. I also love the idea of
having a secret source that is, in fact, your own self.

It was just "okay". It was entertaining enough for me to finish but I didn't really care for any of the characters and the plot twist was disappointing. I expected a lot more to happen.

This book has solidified Megan Miranda as one of my new favourite mystery authors. This was such a slow burn with an extremely satisfying ending. I love how Miranda can dig so deep into complex female friendships.

•What did I think of this book?
How much do we really know about who we call friends? And who tells their story? What happens if you're left holding the secrets? That is what happens to Leah Stevens in a new town at the beginning of her starting over. Emmy, her roommate is missing, and things are happening to close to home to be a coincide.. All roads lead back to Leah, not Emmy, and no one believes Emmy is real. No paper trail, no personal effects, nothing in her name other than Leah's word. She has a past herself she rather keep hidden.. I would recommend this book.
