So I liked this book but it ended with a few really really loose ends.
I did end up liking Keira and Dimitri together more than I thought I would. Keira is quite fierce when she's not drugged up.
Spoiler
So what happened to Mikhail. Did they find him? Is he dead? Did he recover? And what happened to Mark? Did he just drift away or does he go after Keira again? I'm also not sure I believe Pavel's betrayal. Plus how did he die. Dmitri killed him but when did he show up again?I did end up liking Keira and Dimitri together more than I thought I would. Keira is quite fierce when she's not drugged up.

When I first looked at the synopsis to all of these and saw Kiera and Romanov, I was totally shocked. But as the stories in each book progressed, I could see that maybe Romanov wasn’t so bad, he just needed a reason to work with the OMalleys.
Kiera and Dimitri had a lot of chemistry and I’m glad she chose to go with him and explore it, even if she thought she was just trading one life of expectations in a cage for another.
This one competes with book 2 for my favorite. I love the enemies to lover trope and getting to watch these two argue and reluctantly fall for each other was fun.

Pleasantly surprised at the final book! I was afraid that the author would handle Keira’s trauma and alcoholism haphazardly, but she was finally able to acknowledge that she hadn’t been able to recover from devlins death.I do wish there was more attention paid to her recovery, like therapy. Someone like Keira would also benefit from speaking to a professional rather just Dmitir. Painting and good sex could only get you so far. I prefer a slow burn so this series was not my favorite in terms of the couples falling into bed within a week. would have loved to have had an epilogue to tie everything but oh well.

I was waiting for Romanov to get his book. I’ve had a bit of trouble with Kiera and all of her ill advised shenanigans. I understand grief and pain and that it manifests itself in different ways. But she seems to have no care for anyone but herself. The drinking and dangerous situations seemed immature and thoughtless.
Having said that, she & Romanov were well matched.
This was a fitting end to this series. I will have to admit that I would love an epilogue with the kids. I really want to know that Sloan is good.
