Honestly my favorite book out of the series!! I loved watching the progression or everything and how it was coming together. So happy this is how she ended it

Listen, you don't read this book for the plot unless the plot you are looking for is smut. That being said, the fairytale retelling elements in this one I found to be a little cringy. I did not need book porn of fairytale/disney characters. THAT being said, there are definitely scenes from this book that live in my head rent free.

If I take out the retelling aspect and look at this book as purely smut it hit the mark. As an actual story with plot and world building? It missed the mark.

I feel like I was edged this entire book waiting for me. The sex scenes were not what I expected from Katee, given the other books I read by her. They felt weak. I also felt like the book was mostly spent alluding to a coming series or things that happened in other books. It felt very redundant. Book was okay overall, just left me wanting a whole lot more.

Nothing screams lesbian love like going from enemies, to lovers, to I love yous, to a u-haul in 2 weeks.

Okay, saving the best story for last are we? I see you, Ms Robert, I see you!

But yeah, this is definitely the best one of the series. The relationship follows Aurora and Maleficent and also shows what happened to them in the past that made their relationship as fragile as it is by the point of this story.

The fact that their relationship has been hinted at and foreshadowed through the series means that when we finally get to the crescendo we feel really fulfilled along with them.

All in all, a really fun series to read and I’m glad that I keep taking a chance on Ms Robert.
