There were parts in this book that I would get so frustrated with Emila. I wanted her to decide if she wanted to marry Wrath. I felt like her decision was dragged out. I understand she wanted answers and to find the truth about Vittoria, but it took so long. I will read the third book because of how this one left off. I hope the third one is less frustrating.

I do love the connection between Emilia and Wrath. I do believe in their connection. Can a prince of hell feel love? I feel like they can but it is rare.

I would recommend this book but I feel the first one was better.

5/5 stars for Wrath and the relationship between Emilia and Wrath. Ugh, I love the banter in the relationship. With some books it often feels forced, but it felt natural in this book. Wrath’s character is my favorite because although he appears to be the bad guy on the surface, he really cares about doing right. I saw the final plot twist coming but I was okay with that, I kept yelling at Emilia the whole book when she kept referencing Pride. I felt like breadcrumbs to Wrath’s identity were left but she overlooked them, which I understand was the truth that she was forced to confront. UGHH but her REACTION. She was so mean to him, but she completely unacknowledged how he has proven himself through his actions. He sacrificed so much for her and saved her life so many times. It made me so sad when she called him evil and he left, clearly sad. For that reason, Emilia kinda frustrated me. She reminded me of America from the Selection series. Like COME ON, stop being in denial and look at how he cares for you!! Enough about this mission, you can have him be YOUR partner. You clearly have feelings for him!!! That’s why I was so happy with the ending when she finally confessed her feelings, ONLY FOR THE BOOK TO END. I really hope the next book picks up right then. Also, I want to see Wrath reveal his feelings because he acknowledges he cares for her and is attracted, but does he love her? is that possible for him? Now, I marked down 1 star for the confusion. I was really confused with the plot in this story especially circling around the curse. There were a lot of questions and parts that I didn’t understand. I know that works around the curse and how Emilia doesn’t know, but I felt frustrated what was happening.

Am I excited for the final book? Yes I am! Is Emilia still one of the most annoying book characters ever? Yes she is. Is Wrath still hot? But of course.
I enjoyed the book, but just feel like it’s so slow and I’m not sure this needed to be a three book series.

After trying to read this book for the third or fourth time, I’ve decided to DNF. I loved her Stalking Jack the Ripper series, but this one is just not for me.
