some interesting themes but there was a lot of fatphobia, and with the plot completely shifting in part 3, there really just didn’t seem to be a point by the end

I enjoyed this book! I loved the twists, the writing, the life lessons thrown in. I can't stop thinking about how everyone has a different internal clock and what that means.

The start of this book really grabbed me. I thought it was a fascinating concept to work with and enjoy the little stories of each of the characters. The downside is that I had hoped for a more dramatic conclusion, or for something weird-er to be going on. But the ending made sense for the main character and I enjoyed the journey.

I found this a little hard to get started but then I was hooked. I loved the descriptions of the different symptomers - kind of wish there were more. I find that many of the books from Korean authors I've read have main characters who are very unsympathetic and they don't care that they are unlikeable. And while they do grow, it's different from how American or British authors would have a main character grow.

The ending was a little rushed - I found the torture scene really horrifying despite its relative brevity, and that kind of overwhelmed the ending for me. I wish we understood the role that Jeong-eun had to play a bit more.
