This book goes best with tea and a blanket for the ultimate cozy experience. I'd recommend having a box of tissues within reach as well.
I loved Peter and Breck. And Henry and Finna and Anne and Lucy. This book is full of truly wonderful characters. It reads like a love letter to fairy tales and nature. If you love books for the characters and are looking for a cozy fantasy romance to snuggle up with this autumn, this is the book for you.

So this book starts out with Peter and a horse and honestly i have never been a big fan of horses so it did take a while for me to get hooked on the story but as soon as i did i was there for the long run.
It was superb, definitely a bit heavier than i realised going in on the grief but i think it shows grief in a really raw and honest way and shows how others have to pick up the pieces from it
Peter was an amazing character and i did not know what to make of him at the start but he just grows on you whether you are aware of it or not
Breck was just mysterious at first and I was like yes please i like him very much!! He is a very lovely character who i hope we get to learn more about in the next book
Lucy and Anne were characters i instantly loved and thought they were just the best
Finna was just the best character for me. She is so my favourite of the bunch. The best witch.
The world building, the magic, the faires, were just so good a really lovely book to read and characters you definitely want to know and want to become friends with.

This was a bit heavier than I expected, but so lovely. I loved the characters, the slow revelation of all the magic around, the sweetness of Peter falling in love after losing so much. It was well-paced and easy to get swept up in the narrative. Absolutely enjoyable to read.
