Loved the Up reference and that Black Widow/Hulk reference had me rolling!

I’m not a fan of Westerns, so I was skeptical that I would like this but since I enjoyed the first two Lady Janie books I decided to still give this one a try. I struggled to get through this though- the story and the characters just didn’t interest me as much. I’m sure others will enjoy this, but it wasn’t my cup of tea.

I enjoy these books so much! I can’t help myself. They’re just so imaginative and filled with humor and pop culture references.

3.5 I enjoyed the story telling! It was very entertaining and I can’t wait for more to come from these authors. I’m more into the Victorian/Tudor -ish Era(‘s) like in the previous books but did enjoy this. I know this book was about Calamity Jane, but it almost felt like she was the side character. I really did enjoy Annie though, and always liked reading from her POV. Maybe that is why I thought Janes character was just ok? I, literally, laughed out loud at many points throughout the book :)
