Too many pop culture references that took me out. I can get behing a juvenile fmc but this one is supposedly 30 umm okay. The dialogue.. major cringe and bad.

I have serious issues with this one. Consent consent consent. The MC basically made the FMC his slave tied her to him without given an option or opinion. This behavior doesn't improve. I do not ship them. I believe the bond is trying to bring them together hence the mixed signal and sexual tension. He might redeem himself but honestly I don't know if it will be enough since he does what he wants without asking. That's not alpha that's a$$hole. Bring the werewolf back into the mix. He seemed sweet and didn't force anything on her.
I really like the FMC. She is smart, funny, and spunky. Her quips are hilarious. Her family (aunt and cousin)are ride or die and I love it.

incredible
I really enjoyed this book!
Lennox is an absolute firecracker. Feistier than most, she accuses Rogan of being the type to shoot first and ask questions later, but she’s basically the exact same.
I loved her inner monologue, her antics, her word vomit…she might be my favourite FMC in a while.
The poor girl has absolutely no idea who she can trust though, because it seems from the moment she became a witch, everyone she meets has their own agenda. Keeps lying to her. Or keeping her in the dark on a need to know basis.
Rogan is hot and funny, and I love their banter. Their teasing. But he keeps seeming to be very self serving. Keeps witholding things from her. And appears to betray her trust.
But I’m guessing not all is as it seems…

A very good start
I really like the characters so far and the slow burn, we might be enemies to lovers is very good. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

I'm a huge fan of Ivy Asher, and I'm so happy to finally add this book to my collection. I can't wait to read book 2.
