Ghost Hunter
3 Stars

Aurora Springs Guild Boss arrives in Cadence City to win back his former fianceé, Elly St. Clair, but the pair soon find themselves embroiled in a mysterious case involving blue ghosts, a deadly drug and a malicious killer.

This installment in the series starts out slow but picks up pace toward the end.

Cooper and Elly's romance is on the weaker side mainly due to the fact that they have very little chemistry and their breakup was caused by a serious lack of communication.

The investigation is also rather run-of-the-mill, but the tension and suspense ratchet up in the last few chapters and the resolution is satisfying.

In sum, an OK read but the author's Quick and Krentz books are better.

I have really been enjoying this series. I'm going to give it 4 stars because I liked the plot. However, the audio reader was not to my taste - the sex scenes were cringe inducing as it sounded like my grandmother reading to me.

Not one of her best, but it’s light, silly fun with a paranormal twist.

Pretty cute paranormal...I enjoyed it more than most of Jayne Ann Krentz's novels.

These are always a good read. The characters are likeable and the plots work and it all fits in nice with the overall series.

I am not a fan of the “If you really love me you’ll follow me when leave you” trope. Otherwise, good romantic suspense.

this world is getting fleshed out with some cool discoveries and a new range of characters and even some more towns. Some cameos from Lydia and Emmett but this is its own story. Again we have a male character that knows his mind and like Emmett is a fool when it comes to finding the right words. which I kind of like because in reality men never know what say.
