I enjoyed this so much! The color differences, the meanings of the artwork and framing, and the overall theme were all fantastic. It was such a pleasure to read and I'm so happy that it was an assigned read for my class because I got to learn and analyze it more then I could have on my own.

Mr. Tiger is tired of being prim and proper and so begins trying new things. First walking on all fours, then not wearing his stuffy suit. His friends aren't sure how to handle his "wildness" and tell him to go to the wilderness if he wants to behave this way. Mr. Tiger is excited about this and heads off. Although he is happy with this new way of living, Mr. Tiger also becomes lonely, so he decides to go back to the city. He discovers things have changed a bit.
Wonderful book with a great message. Be brave, be yourself.

MR TIGER GOES WILD
Written and Illustrated by Peter Brown
2013; 40 Pages
Genre: animals, picture book, children's
★★★★
A very cute book about animals behaving very civilized - wearing clothes and walking on two legs. Then one day Mr. Tiger slowly starts to misbehave - first not wearing as many clothes, then walking on all 4 legs and roaring loudly! When all his friends shun his new lifestyle he runs off into the wild to be himself. He learns that it can be lonely in the wilderness so returns home to be somewhere in the middle. I really enjoy Brown's illustrations

A wonderful book filled with striking illustrations which effectively utilize color. I like the resulting positive message about finding the right balance for yourself between proper and wild.
