I like revisiting the early books and thinking about how characters differ from the last books.
I enjoyed it quite a bit!

Seriously love this series. Book 2 and I am for sure hooked. Anita's wit is addicting, and so is the thoughts of Jean-Claude.

I was bouncing between enjoying this and not wanting to finish it because I was bored.

I’m hoping, based on the title, the next one has more Jean-Claude in it

I think I've come to the conclusion that I won't be reading any more in this series, and if I do I'll be skipping ahead to check out one of these crazy sex ones I been hearing about. I can't do Anita. I'm all for people who are themselves, but that doesn't mean I'm still going to like them. She was a bad ass bitch, but it felt like she was quite fake at times. I hate the wardrobe descriptions nearly every chapter, and her judgements on other people (Wanda) and I just don't like to be in that kind of headspace so I don't think I'll continue at all. I wanted to try to because these have super high ratings, but I guess I just like reading about the air heads or something? I will say however, I LOVED the end to this. If there was more animator scenes throughout this book I probably would have enjoyed it much more, but like book one we barely see that part of her and it focuses on some assholes trying to get her to do shit. I ain't got time for that.

OK, Heather, you've got me, I'm hooked! Anita is sassy, feisty and tough--she is a trip and a half, and her sense of humor is amazing. This series reminds me of Bones meets Buffy the Vampire Slayer--two of my favorite things put together. I can't wait to get further into it!

Chilling and fast-paced. I'm loving watching Hamilton's legal system at work with zombies and vampires. So fun.
