There was a lot less creepy Takuto and Mitsuki stuff which I was happy about and the backstory stuff and jealous fan was great but then the doctor had to go and kiss a drunk and passed out Ms Oshige. Consent is sexy, god damnit. There is no chance for consent if someone is passed out! The sad part is that this stuff is par for the course for early 2000s shojo manga. I'm afraid to reread other old favorites and be disappointed like I am now.

I'll admit, this volume was kind of a letdown. Izumi's section felt rushed, and just wasn't as interesting or as satisfying as Meroko's and Takuto's. I also just did not care about the side ships that were so prevalent, the doc and manager are a boring and uninteresting pair. To be honest, I haven't really liked Mitsuki's manager after she was introduced and shown to be a drunk who wasn't the best at her job, and I don't think that image can just go away or be magically fixed because she gets hurt, and has a obsession with the doctor. I don't care about the weird love triangle between her, the boss, and Dr. Wakaoji, and I hope the last two volumes don't focus on it too much. The scenes with Nachi were a little weird too, correct me if I'm wrong, but he shouldn't be such good friends with Mitsuki when we've never even seen them hang once. The stalker segment was okay I suppose, but I'm a little over the trope where the MC gets all broody over something happening to their friends, even though their friends are okay, and they want to just give everything up. At least it wasn't dragged out like in other series.

Hopefully volume 6 will be better!

This one felt a little all over the place. But a few of the pages were torn put of the copy I read, so that probably contributed to that feeling (it was from the library). Be nice to books!
