This series takes another turn, this time with only a tenuous connection to the crew from book #1. (One of the families in the story is related to the captain of the ship.)

This book is an in-depth study of society, how it's structured, and how we care for and neglect each other.

At the same time, it has rich, well-developed characters who each have their own personalities. The seemingly-unrelated stories of each do intersect and affect each other, resulting in major life changes for many of them.

Explore human culture after becoming a space faring species out of necessity for generations, and then a species split between planed and the ships wee survived on. A scifi slice of life: Another excellent read in this series exploring the many aspects of being human. I loved this as much as Chambers' other books.

Becky went and did it again!! This book was intriguing and challenging and hopeful and sad and so very human.
The Exodans have a soft spot in my heart now! I was also just overjoyed to see them continue to embrace their heritage and culture as they adapted. I absolutely love how this was explored as a whole through multiple perspectives and also individually by five (turned four 😢) perspectives.
Record of a Spaceborn Few is beautiful, challenging, heartwarming, and cozy, as all of the Wayfarers series have been. I’m so excited to continue the series!
