Un uomo bianco cerca la morte provando a gettarsi sotto un treno di passaggio, il Sunset Limited. A salvarlo è un nero di passaggio, che lo conduce a casa sua provando a farlo ragionare.

Sunset Limited è un brevissimo dialogo fra queste due persone. A fare da sfondo i loro diversi stili di vita, le opinioni agli antipodi, il pessimismo dell'uno, la cieca fede in Dio dell'altro, in un equilibrio talmente precario da non lasciare vincitori.

Alla fine a vincere sarà solo McCarthy.

I read it 3 or 4 years ago and it had some strong impact on me. I've seen the movie too and it was brilliant.

This was a quick and interesting read. I enjoyed the different philosophical approaches to death, religion and suicide. I feel like it’s a great book to write an essay about in an English literature class
