Did I enjoy this book? For the most part, but it's kinda long.

Why?

At this point in my life I'll read anything omegaverse as long as it doesn't have cheating (because that one book - you know who you are - ruined my entire night) I'm down and ready. Please don't ask me why. I assume there is some deep-rooted, suppressed trauma I haven't addressed yet. The alphas are so loveable it's borderline gag inducing (hehe), tattoo artist - how bout YES, and there's 5 of them! The omega is sweet and standoffish because she's got mommy issues for days, BUT it wasn't annoying in a 'oh woe is me' and more like the normal everyday woman state-of-mind that we'll never be good enough. See, relateable :)

Why not 5 stars?

This book did NOT need to be 500+ pages. Ok, or if it absolutely needed to be 500+ - those extra pages should've been filled with way more interesting things. I found myself skimming pages, and that is one step away from DNF'ing.

Is it spicy? There are 5 dudes so.....
Is it smutty smut smut? Again, there are 5 dudes so....

I related to the FMC but it felt like her only personality trait was being insecure. Besides that, I didn’t really connect to the characters or the pack dynamic. It felt formulaic to me.

Let me just say while I own a lot of Devyn Sincalir’s books I just finally started going through all of her back log to read them. I am currently playing catchup on my reviews… But this is one of the first ones I had to leave.

I absolutely devoured KYDO so fast. I loved the pacing. I fell in love with Esme. I read this when it first came out. Due to my dumb butt not writing reviews very often at the time and then being deployed I wanted to make sure i got this one in first. I loved this book so much I have decided I needed every edition/special edition that has come out. It is definitely my favorite Omegaverse book still to date…i have read and loved a lot of them.

I would say that this book is a lot more character driven. And I loved it when they went to go build her nest. These guys are also so swoon worthy they are who I compare a lot of my omegaverse books to now…. Excuse me while i go read it again.

I really couldn't get into the story! I wanted to put the book down so many times. I finished it. But I couldn't even bring myself to read the epilogue! The connection to the characters was just off.
