Eh. Another mafia book. It moves fast and it does have some interesting plot points but it’s mostly sex scenes and killing

The collector works for Victor, whenever he receives a message he retrieves whoever it is and brings them to the can. He can injure them whilst collecting but not kill, he gets a message to collect Mila.

Mila is a waitress who has been from from a place called the mill for six years. One day when she arrives at work she sees the collector and panics knowing he's been sent to take her to Victor.

The story involves instant love I'd say because in only a few days they are saying I love you. Personally the development between Mila and the collector aka Nicholai was missing for me. I wanted to love it because the blurb sounded so promising but it was just okay.

Trigger warnings for kidnapping, murder, abuse and rape mentioned.

Well-written, intense, and intriguing book. A guaranteed page-turner.

This is a book filled with secrets, unexpected twists, mystery, and suspense. This book has an action-packed beginning as Mila is taken by the Collector because debt is owed. She is a mystery to Nicholai and he works to figure her out. This story is thrilling and the development of the romance between Mila and Nicholai was entertaining.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and look forward to the other books in the series.
