I have seen every kind of adaptation for Santa that I can think of except for the fact that he is ALWAYS super attractive. I'm not complaining...it would just be something I'd never seen yet. The storyline was fantastic and had me flying through the pages which unfortunately made me skip the beautiful illustrations. I loved the artwork and the contrasting colours of the burning and the winter settings. I did not know this was a series but I will investigate further once the snow hits the ground.

This is one I actually grabbed off the shelf because I thought the art looked fabulous. I knew nothing about it. When I realised it was an origin story about Santa, that just got me even more pumped to read this.

After actually reading this, I definitely think the art is stunning. Every page was beautiful, with some pretty stunning stand out pages. If you want something lovely to look at, this fits it. That said, the story itself is absolutely fascinating, and the characters are intriguing. I feel like I didn't even get enough and I'm really excited for the next issue. I almost wish I had waited until I could read the whole series at once.

If you're looking for a Christmas story, but you aren't really into Christmas stories, I completely recommend this. It's pretty to look at and has a story that has me eager for more.
