A great classic early-King story, where the setting is the scariest part, and the things that haunt you from childhood never really go away. 'Salem's Lot reminded me of "It" a lot, because the kids are the ones that handle themselves the best, and adults can't see what's right in front of their faces.

The characters in Salems Lot didn’t feel as fleshed out or as real as other Stephen King books and the beginning was incredibly slow but once I got to part two, the pace picked up and I was able to enjoy it more. This was my first vampire book and I wasn’t disappointed. It was a good, spooky read!
