I loved learning more about Chris and Sarah’s story. While not as traumatic as Hayden and Tenley’s back stories, they both have their own demons to battle.

I've been patiently(not really) waiting for Chris and Sarah's story in the Clipped Wings series and it was sooo worth the wait!

This book had my cherries crushing in angst, love, and down right combustion in this hot sexy read.

Yes tissues were used. My heart was hurting for both Chris and Sarah. They both are broken souls who we find out both have trouble accepting help from others and each other. Beautiful story and some surprises that kept me in suspense of what would happen next. And we get our Hayden peaking in and out of the book!

Yes, there were times I wanted to smack them both. I actually get off on reading books like this because when the author writes from the heart and makes you feel as your read, you know you have an excellent book in front of you. And yes, as always, the sex in this book is super hot! Cherry Explosion hot!

This story has many issues that we can relate to and leave you with such a great book hangover.

I loved this whole series. Dark and sexy. But I won't even list all the trigger warnings that should be included. Worth a read if you can handle it.

It was really nice to get more of Chris and Sarah's story after they had been secondary characters in the first two books. This one was heavy for sure. Both characters had pretty troubled pasts which made it hard for them to be vulnerable and open with each other. That being said, it definitely did take time for that to happen, but I really liked their story. Helena Hunting just manages to pull readers in and her books are so hard to put down.  I really liked that Sarah and Chris both had opportunities to heal and grow. On a lighter note, the spice was a fun time and I definitely enjoy the way Hunting explores those moments. I'm glad I read this series and I'm always excited to read more from her.

I finished this one yesterday after work but had such a bad migraine I couldn’t even look at my laptop to write this review. So, it’s a bit later than usual and it’s also going to be a bit shorter than usual. Because I just did not have a good time. I borrowed this one from the library because I’ve gotten into this author’s recent works and really enjoyed the ones I read. Also, because this one was listed as a standalone romance despite being part of a companion series. I liked the idea of a good girl who is struggling to get through college financially and who makes some bad boy mistakes. But this is more of a dark romance than I was expecting. And that’s just not a romance subgenre that I enjoy. I thought the characters were pretty good but not my favorite. The plot and all of the micro plots around it were not my jam at all. Plus the sex scenes were over the top for me. We all know I’m an asexual who struggles to find romance I enjoy without a ton of sex scenes that just throw me off. There was one scene in particular where the male lead was having angry sex with the female lead and, while it was supposed to be super sexy, I was trying not to throw my kindle across the room. Overall, this just isn’t the Helena Hunting for me. I think if I did more research into the companion series I would probably know that already. So, it’s not all the book’s fault here.

I enjoy this series so much, this one was no different, what happens when two people are casual and then one decides to stop everything? Well, this story will give you a roller-coaster and will keep you reading until the end.

I loved this series. The story came alive from the first page until the end.
