WOW what a page turner! Disturbing, twisted, bloody…the content warnings are no joke! Every chapter left me wanting to know more, even though each new detail was more chilling than the last. Ashley Winstead is a must read author for me now!

This book was so disturbing and captivating I can’t not rate it 5 stars. It was everything I look for in a thriller and I could not put it down even if I tried!

This was amazingly eerie and I absolutely devoured it. There's hints of dark academia, female friendships (fucked up friendships at that) and such vivid descriptions of horrible men and sex cults that, for now, I'd rather become a nun than engage in BDSM. The narration was so fascinating, it times it turned into an unreliable narrator and that just added to the creepiness. It took a bit to get to the action but god, it was so worth it and all the back-story gets so important later. Might be my new favourite thriller!

P.S.: Is Jamie one of my top 2023 MMC's even if this isn't a romance? Maybe.

Could not put down, I literally read it every chance I got until I had finished it.  Loved the format of weaving in the podcast transcripts.

Warning: look at trigger warnings before starting as it is dark and includes many different triggers around sex, cults and abuse.

The social commentary is fine; very one-note. It falls flat for me because it fails to address race. Like I'm sorry but it's just unrealistic for me that this is only happening to white girls. I know it's a fine line and we certainly don't want a poorly written character of color butchered by a white author but come on. At least fucking try.

This was a lot. Extremely graphic and triggering content but really well done. I think the author does an incredible job making the reader understand the MCs motivations. I was on the edge on my seat the whole time.
