While Moore does have a few good essays in all honesty unless you want to read a lot of dense, regurgitated information I would just read the essays “A few things I have learned about illness in America” and “Three months after emerging from your deathbed”. A lot of the essays are hard to follow as they jump around with little correlation and are very info dumpy. Also the other has talked about how they identify as queer because they are anti-capitalism? Don’t know how those work but😬

While I don't 100% feel like the title was fully fitting of this collection of essays (most importantly contains many more discussions on health/healthcare or lack of, and garment work), I got a lot out of a lot of them nonetheless, especially those not suggested by the title. Every essay surround the topics of health hit so deeply for me and especially appreciated "A few things I have learned about illness in America", "Consumpcyon", "The presence of no present", and "Normative bodies, unusual tastes" (as a bitch with questionable taste for particularly gross horror movies). I leave this work reflecting, alongside the author that (selfishly) I am also glad she did not die
