Entertaining and almost cathartic but wholly unbelievable. This book is kind of like trashy tv. I shouldn’t have liked it… but I did.

This is an enjoyable bit of fluff. Even though it’s quite dark, the unrealistic storyline keeps it from feeling possible, and therefore it isn’t heavy.

Good idea with medium execution. Murders were not planned thoroughly, it was surprising she was never caught. Main character was presented as a rich influencer. Her backstory, which would have made her a little bit more likable, was introductled too late, so unfortunately I already disliked her at that point too much. Kind of liked she made mistakes, but killing the wrong guy just had me screaming: "Do your research beforehand". For a main character who acts like "killing men" is something she does regularly, she seems very unexperienced. Plot twist at the end was okay though.

Absolutely nothing about this worked for me. The humour wasn't funny, the characters had no personality, the plot twist was ridiculous. A lot of it felt like it was written to be quoted on twitter.

First I wouldn’t highly recommend checking the warning for this book before you dive in.
Although I personally felt this book was aiming at inspiration and funny with its dark humour and plot line. I think the execution missed. It is a tense book with a few plot holes and the amount of humour isn’t enough to balance the uncomfortable reflection of reality this book brings.
I thought due to the name of the book there would be more planning before the murder. I’m all for the premise of a book that puts power back in the hands of women. However I feel the graphic description of what happened to the women in this book was not equal to the death they were dealt. Also any power that it felt women may have was completely stripped away at the end with how James treated Kitty when she wasn’t prepared with any of her tools she was still unable to get away. Also ending with the 2 women killed unfortunately left me with the horrible reminder that this is the world we live in and no ones out there to help us.

I read this book so you don’t have to. Great concept, terrible execution.
