Unfinished
Whilst this instalment continues on at the frantic pace set in the first two, I felt somewhat disappointed that two of the major plot line elements are left hanging. This seemed rather odd and infuriating bearing in mind it finishes with an epilogue. However, having just caught up with the authors blog, it looks like this was intended as a leader into another series - can’t wait...

A Page-Turner of an Adventure
Each installment gets better as I work my way through this series. The plot and characters are getting richer, the action is constant, and the surprises are many. There are plenty of complex characters and storylines. This is shaping up to be an epic series with a stellar conclusion. I'm looking forward into diving into the next one.

I wept once or twice. So much heartbreak in this book; but it was well done and every death held purpose. I look forward to Carol bringing Kragan to his knees, even though I know it will also be surrounded by heartbreak.

Of the three books out so far in this series, this was probably my least favorite, but it did not diminish my love of the series or characters. The author did a great job tying all of the story-lines together in an exciting way, but, in essence, the book was just one giant battle: an important, necessary, tone-setting battle, but one long battle nonetheless. Still, I enjoyed it and I can't wait for the next book.
