This book was so unbelievably human. I loved reading it, losing myself in such a familiar world that I could relate to. If you're a writer, new or old, I highly recommend reading this.

I adored everything about this book.
It was recommended to me as being somewhat like Fleabag and I have to agree. It is a bit more sad but I can definitely see the similarities to season one Fleabag.
This book left me feeling inspired and just plain good.
I loved it and will be reading more Lily King books.

Bumping this up from a 4 to a 5.
I didn't think this book was perfect, but since I finished reading it, I haven't been able to stop thinking about it. I miss reading it. I just want to go back to it, back to that character and that world. I want to read more. It felt real to me. And every other book I've tried to start after just feels like a downgrade. That gotta count for something right? So 5 stars it is.

i need to stop reading books where their mom has just passed away and they’re a writer I’m getting them mixed up. that being said audiobook was good. i do have trouble though when there’s multiple characters whose name start with the same letter. too many c !names for my tiny brain
