I like how the story was written as far as humor/banter etc. There were a lot of references to movies and pop culture that I liked. The love story was also cute. However, this book is TERRIBLY long. This is the longest book I’ve read and there’s no plot. This entire book, written the way that it is, should have been 350-400 pages max IMO. I feel like the length of this book really takes away from this story’s positive points. I was really into the story then I got really bored. I feel like the storyline had major potential and is a very important subject matter, but the author missed the mark IMO

The spice carries this story. It’s probably one of the better written, spice-wise, out of a majority of the books I’ve read. Some of it did get a bit cringey, but overall the spice was well written. I would have stopped reading this long ago if it weren’t for the spice.

I was left with a few questions;
we never find out what the suspicious looks between Theo and the coach were all about. I suspected either they were messing around or were conspiring to get either Avi or Kyran in trouble due to jealousy (athletically and intimately) or because Avi was becoming a distraction? We also never find out who turned Avi in to the dean.

The Gay awakening trope is one of my guilty pleasures (pun intended). I love stories where the characters find themselves because they find a person who makes them want to be who they are and not who they think they should be. Makes my heart happy.

This is a forbidden romance (stepbrothers), but it's not super cringe. Grumpy Kyran has to work through a lot of trauma; partly sunny Avi is there for him and just wants to help heal his heart. It was great. And the spice - whooo baby.

Kyran and Avielle could not be more different. Normally their paths wouldn't cross, with one being a textbook jock and the other an artistic stoner, but they their parents get married. Suddenly these Seniors are stepbrothers and the tension could be cut with a knife. They mostly avoid each other until the run into some money troubles, and strike up a crazy deal that leads to forbidden  pleasure. When I first saw this book, my eyes  bugged out of my head. 22 hours of erotica? How much sex could you possibly have?! So much. So very much, and while yes it could be substantially shorter, the sex scenes would not be my first choice for edits. There is a ton of rehashing situations that we alrady experienced on page, especially towards then end, I was tempted to skip them. There is actually a plot and its pretty good. The MC's development made me fall in love with them completely, but as long as this was I expected much more depth from the plethora of side characters. Overall, this book is completely unrealistic, unbelievably hot, too long, and I loved it. I will absolutely be tagging certain sections as pre game fodder, cause whoo! (Fanning myself and squeezing my thighs) If there are more books in this series, I will absolutely be reading them.
