I enjoyed the different perspectives we got in this book to see each characters arc be completed. The reveal of breadcrumbs planted from book 1 was exciting. The ending left me weeping, but filled with hope.

This is when it all comes together. The mists and the ash, martyrs and gods and emperors, allomancy and feruchemy and hemalurgy, everything comes together.

The scope explodes to include the end of the world and a millennia long war between gods. The payoffs are enormous, with some mysteries having their roots in book one.

Some of the character development feels cheapened because of the scope encompassing gods and their plans and their influence, but it does make for an engrossing epic.
