Truth is I met the author at the dumpster and as we complained about people not tearing down their boxes I learned she was a writer. I finished Golden Ribbons last night, and it is intriguing. I was shocked to see it was the 4th book, and now I'm searching for the first ones. Cassie is a smart, driven woman strong in many ways. Her creativity and drive goes long way. As for Jack Donovan, the undercover cop she meets up and work with, I have questions, and would like so much more. I hope book 4 of 4 isn't the last one.

Golden Ribbons is a fast-paced and intriguing journey…

Cassie Holmes is only fifty percent sold on her rash decision to leave her career and home in Arizona, and become a partner in a Seattle P.I. firm. Jack Donovan is perfectly content in his life. He’s on an undercover assignment for the drug task force and currently spends a great deal of time in the armpit of the city.

Cassie has reservations about Jack’s offer to help her on her first job. After their initial introduction he breaks into her apartment and helps himself to her kitchen. I have to say, I wouldn’t kick out a sexy guy, dressed only in a towel flipping pancakes in my kitchen. Watch as she and Jack get down and dirty in the back allies of Seattle. They are on the hunt for a run-away girl, presumed kidnapped and force into the sex-slave scene.

This is a compelling story, Ms. Marie. Golden Ribbons is a fantastic addition to the Miss Demeanor Suspense collection.
