OMG I LOVED THIS BOOK!

It was such a creepy read and very descriptive. Everything that happened with Verity was literally so bone chilling but I did not want to put the book down at all. The relationship between Lowen and Jeremy was also so weird. Everyone in this story is just so strange and they all need to seek the best therapist money can offer.

But overall, amazing book to read, highly recommend.

I'm genuinely confused why this book is rated so high. It was definitely entertaining but in the same way shitty lifetime thriller movies are entertaining. The drama and the plot of this book was so ridiculous and over the top. The main character is extremely annoying and thinks she's a good person yet she's sleeping with a married guy while his comatose wife is down the hall? Also we're supposed to like Jeremy and justify the cheating just because he's hot and his wife might be a psycho? All the characters are awful. Sex scenes and Lowen's inner dialogue was cringey as hell. I rolled my eyes so many times while reading this book. The plot was just wild and unrealistic. Main character falls in love with Verity's boring husband after just two seconds. Verity is some how fooling every doctor/nurse/caretaker into believing she can't move or speak even though there is nothing medically wrong with her. There's literally a scene in this book where Lowen whispers to Verity something along the lines of "I'm going to f*ck your husband tonight" and calls her a c*nt which is HILARIOUS. And again...we're supposed to like this character and hate Verity. I think a lot of the high ratings are coming from readers who really like this author's romance books and don't really read thrillers. If you like the horror/thriller genre this book will just make you laugh.

Wow. Such a disturbing, nail biting, intense book! Lots of trigger warnings for this one but if you can get through them, it’s worth it.

cannot believe readers are giving this 5 stars. what is this book and writing style?! what kind of characters are these? feels like colleen wrote this book in hopes of it becoming a crappy lifetime movie.

The way Colleen Hoover can’t write normally to save her life takes me out. She has to use letters, manuscripts, etc. to tell the story. That being said, she did build suspense ok-ish. I don’t understand why everyone thinks she’s a great writer. She’s mid at best.
