Love these two! This little queer novella was sweet and flirty and, finally, hot!

I knew I would love Likotsi’s story and I wasn’t wrong. Happy I was finally able to read it

I feel like this could've benefited from being a full novel, rather than a novella, but that also could be that I just want more of Likotsi and Fab. It kind of fits for a whirlwind romance that it was so short, but it does feel oddly paced. We spend almost as much time in the past as the present, which makes it feel unbalanced for a story about coming back together, but in the end, it is cute and sweet and f/f, so I'm willing to forgive a lot.

This was super cute! I saw it pop up as recommended a few times but honestly didn't look too deeply into it until it also popped up on my Libby app and was available. Also didn't realize it was part of a series and a novella. It was sweet but ended too soon. I want more of Likotsi and Fab's relationship! There was nothing too deep about it but it was set up well, two women meet again on the subway after having a brief affair a few months previous. One felt jilted and like her heart was broken. Throughout the novella, we learn what went down. Perfect, light read.

Here's why you should read this: It's a f/f romance featuring two women of colour. Really, the only downside is that this is a novella and not a full-sized novel.

Likotsi is back in NYC after the events of A Princess in Theory, and we finally get to know more about the woman that she found on the dating app. Also, we get an explanation about why their relationship imploded. Likotsi is a badass, seeing her and Fabiosa together was really adorable
Spoiler especially once you know the reason why Fabiosa broke things off in A Princess in Theory
. Honestly, the novella is great, and I highly recommend giving it a read.
